Avery Printer Guide (Vista/7)
Here is a guide on how to install the Avery printers on your computers. This guide is for Windows Vista and Windows 7 users. Windows XP users should follow the old guide
here.
This guide was written using Windows 7, but Windows Vista will be almost identical.

Let's Get on with It!
First get the printer driver needed for your machine.
For averyds and averylab (the black/white printers), please go
here.
For averybw (the black/white printer), please go
here.
For averycmyk (the color printer), please go
here.
Download the PCL 6 Driver specific to the printer.
After downloading the file, run it. It will unzip the driver files to a folder in your system (usually C:\) drive.

Close all resulting windows.
Open the
Start menu and click
Devices and Printers. Windows Vista users will have to go to the
Control Panel and double click
Printers.
Click
Add a printer.
Click on
Add a local printer.
Select "Standard TCP/IP Port" under the second option.
Type the name of the printer into the
Hostname or IP address field. For example, to add the LFB printer, type
averyds. Maybe sure to
deselect the checkbox labeled
Query the printer and automatically select the driver to use.
The next screen asks for the driver. Click the
Have Disk... button at the bottom right.
A dialog box will open. Click on
Browse.
Navigate to where the driver files are that were unzipped at the very beginning of this guide. In that folder you will see one file. Double click that file to open. Hit
OK.
You will see something like the following window. Make sure the model of the printer is selected in the selection box. For example, when adding averybw, select the 4250 printer. Click
Next.
Name the printer something you can remember.
Do not share the printer and hit
Next.
Windows will now (hopefully) say the printer was successfully added.
Now, time to set up double sided printing. In the
Printers window, right click on the printer just added and select
Printing preferences.
Under the
Printing Shortcuts tab, select
Two-sided (Duplex) Printing and hit
Apply.
That's it! Congratulations, you have now installed a printer.
