Note: Windows Vista may have problems adding the above printers. The instructions below are also a bit dated. If you are having problems, see one of the IMSS representatives. See below for contact information.
The best solution is to print directly to the printer's built-in print server. A guide for averybw is here, and for averylab, and averyds, you first need to download the driver (just put it on your desktop temporarily) and follow these easy instructions, replacing averylab with averyds where appropriate.
For the averycmyk printer (Color Laser Printer), you can follow the Avery BW guide except download the color printer driver from HP. If you need help, see one of the IMSS representatives.

If you want a private place to store your data and want to be able to access it on other computers, IMSS has personal storage spaces for each user. UGCS also offers a similar service but with a larger disk quota than IMSS. Read the page and learn how to use them. (Ghosts and Seniors: UGCS cluster will still work after graduation:))

How to Scan
Printer Configuration
There are currently four printers.
- averybw is located in UGT (HP 4250)
- averyds is in LFB (HP 4200)
- averylab is in the computer lab. (HP 4200)
- averycmyk is the computer lab (HP 3700, color printer)
You can either access the printers directly by just typing their name (ie. averybw) or by typing their full hostname with .caltech.edu at the end (ie. averybw.caltech.edu).
Note: Windows Vista may have problems adding the above printers. The instructions below are also a bit dated. If you are having problems, see one of the IMSS representatives.
