Avery House, built in 1996, is a mixture of undergrads, graduate students, RAs and faculty-in-residence. Founded under the ideals of Creativity, Integrity, and Tenacity, Avery House is intended to be an integrated community.

Located in the northeast quadrant of campus, Avery is relatively close to Moore, Watson, Broad, Beckman Institute, and Beckman Auditorium.

As you can see, Avery was built relatively recently; every day its residents work to shape its history as well as their own.

One of the best ways to learn about this history is by examining the artifacts of the past, or at least the webpages left from days gone by. Luckily, the internet archive kept a log of previous Avery pages.

A great deal of this history, especially past FiR and RA info, was acquired with the help of longtime Avery resident, graduate student and household name Geoff "the" Hom.

In 2005-2006, Avery had Freshmen for the first time. It will be up to the future to determine how that will change Avery's history.
